Karen trained initially in theatre design gaining a degree from Wimbledon School of Art. After a period working in theatre and fashion she decided to further her study and love of textiles with a City and Guilds qualification in printed textiles and vocational study in embroidered textiles. She has spent the last eight years working and developing as a painter, drawing on all these past influences and skills to create a constantly evolving, vibrant and unique range of work.
